"Whatsoever things are true,...are honest,...are just,...are pure,...are lovely,...are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4:8 This is the Northwestern Motto. You will see it on the motto (shown at right) as "Quaecumque sunt vera," which is Latin for "Whatsoever things are true." In my life and in my studies/research, I strive to do this as I follow God.
Here is a brief summary of my life. I grew up in Los Alamos, New Mexico (lived in England for a year when I was five), went to college at The University of Tennessee, taught English as a second language in Shenzhen, China for a year and am now currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University and have been a Christian all my life. If you want a longer explanation, you'll have to look around some more.
